I was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, where my hockey journey began. At the age of nine, I was selected to join one of the country's top hockey academies, a program that developed numerous professional and NHL players. From that moment, hockey became my passion and my profession.
Years of elite training, international hockey camps, and competition helped me earn a full scholarship to play junior hockey in the United States.
I also represented both the Ukraine U18 and U20 National Teams before signing my first professional contract with Sokil Kyiv.
My professional career continued in the Polish Hockey League, where I competed alongside players with NHL, AHL, DEL, and EBEL experience where I spent three seasons.
Later, I spent six successful seasons in the Romanian Hockey League, playing for Steaua București and representing the Romanian Men's National Team at multiple IIHF World Championships.
Throughout my professional career, I developed a deep understanding of what separates good players from elite athletes—not only skating technique, but also edge control, hockey IQ, confidence, speed, balance, and game-specific decision making and diligence.
Every team, every coach, every country, and every championship taught me something new about what it truly takes to succeed at the highest level.
I experienced different coaching philosophies, development systems, and playing styles, allowing me to build a complete understanding of player development—from youth hockey to the professional game.
I wasn't simply taught how to coach—I lived the process myself. I know what it's like to be a young player learning the fundamentals, a teenager chasing bigger goals, a junior athlete competing for opportunities, and a professional player performing under pressure.
I understand the challenges, sacrifices, setbacks, and mindset required to succeed because I've experienced them firsthand.
From the age of nine by today, hockey has been my life.
More than 25 years of dedication, 10 professional seasons, two countries Men's National Teams, multiple IIHF World Championships, and years of coaching have given me a unique perspective that cannot be learned from textbooks or coaching clinics alone.
I founded LYMM POWERSKATING with one clear mission: to provide elite power skating and hockey skills development camps & programs that help every player reach their full potential.
Today, LYMM POWERSKATING proudly operates in Edmonton, AB helping young athletes develop their skating ability, hockey skills, confidence, and mindset needed to succeed at every stage of their hockey journey.
